Janine Boucher resides in Rockport, Massachusetts, with her husband and two children. Years ago, she became very interested in personal fitness and began running and working out often. As her confidence in physical fitness grew, she eventually began teaching fitness classes at various workout centers, including the Y.M.C.A. Her intense energy and compassion towards fitness, as well as encouragement of her husband and ex body builder, Mike, led her to start her own fitness center in the basement of her home.
Since it's birth in 2005, "Janine's Fitness" has introduced dozens of women to ultimate physical health as well as emotional wellbeing. The response has been so great that five new classes, more workout machines, and an expansion of the actual workout area has been forced to be added!
Janine is extremely motivating, energetic, and committed to helping people reach their fitness goals. She has a positive approach to wellness and training, and is truly a motivator in fitness and in life. As the Gloucester Daily Times quoted on March 30, 2006,

Amy Kostka is enthusiastic and eager to inspire women of all ages to achieve their fitness and personal goals.
After several years of participating in various fitness classes, Amy set a goal to become a certified group fitness trainer. With much dedication and determination, that goal was realized. In addition to becoming CPR certified, she became fully qualified to teach group exercise classes through her certification with SCW Fitness. Amy also has a group aerobic certification through American Aerobic Association International.
Amy holds a Bachelor Science Degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University. She is a Rockport resident and works full-time for a local manufacturing company. In her spare time she enjoys, photography, reading, running and fitness. Her husband and son are just the support Amy needs to achieve all of her goals.
Amy’s classes are in high demand! They are fun, challenging, and really make you sweat. You are sure to see results in all the right areas.

Dana is a 15 year veteran of the work-out world and is certified as an instructor by the AAAI/ISMA. Dana’s experience with exercise has run the gamut from Low Impact to Step Aerobics to Interval Training to Pilates Mat Classes.
She will be conducting Pilates Mat Classes exclusively at Janine’s Fitness every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.. Pilates is also offered every Saturday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.. This opportunity is open to all levels and is included in the Monthly Membership Fee. In addition, Janine’s clients may see her substituting on occasion for one of her fellow instructors.
Private and semi-private classes in Pilates by special arrangement are now being offered for up to five special Janine’s Fitness students at a time. Ask about this unique opportunity next time you stop in or contact Janine’s Fitness by email or phone.
In addition to being a Certified AAAI/ISMA instructor, Dana was a nationally certified EMT-B in Connecticut and Massachusetts. She is also certified in CPR with the American Heart Association.
Born and raised on Cape Ann, Dana returned after many years to live locally with her family. She has worked in the medical profession in the field and in a hospital setting. Currently she works for a large mental health network on the North Shore.
She wishes to publicly thank her first Pilates instructor who instilled in her a love of Pilates and the mind/body connection.

Juliana McGovern has been a dancer since age seven and has been teaching fitness classes since 1986. She holds a BA from Regis College and an MA from the University of Oregon.
Juliana has run her own ballet school and was Assistant Director of the Hampstead Dance Theatre, in London, England. While in London she also was WPE Instructor at the American School and Assistant Track Coach. The track team won the International Sport Tournament 3 years in a row, and the Department of Defense Tournament one year.
Since returning to her native Massachusetts, Juliana has been a Windhover Dancer and soloist with Dancer’ Courageous Dance Company.
She has been on the Cape Ann YMCA Fitness Staff since 1988 and a recipient of the Y’s President’s Award in 2004.
Juliana's certifications include, group fitness, aerobics and step, Pilates and Yoga, and many others.
